What to Bring?
Depending on the sport activities you and your child choose, and the way your municipality’s program is set up, FirstPlay Sports may provide some or all of the equipment. Therefore, please consult your municipality’s program flyer for details. Of course, if your child has a favorite piece of equipment that he/she would like to use (i.e., baseball glove, soccer ball, etc.) they can feel free to bring it along.
Don’t forget to bring plenty of water for your child, and sunscreen and/or a hat to protect his or her skin! For classes/camps that are 3 hours or longer, please bring a light snack. Children should also wear comfortable clothes and sneakers.
What to Bring for Tennis Activities: If your child is playing tennis with us, they must provide their own racket. FirstPlay Sports provides all balls and other specialized equipment.
Tennis specific clothing is not required, but he/she should be comfortable as possible! T-shirt/shorts/sweats/socks are recommended. Kiddie players (our program for 3-6 year-olds) can wear any type of sneaker. Ages 6 and up should try and wear cross-trainers or tennis sneakers. In the Spring and Fall, it may be a bit chilly, so please make sure to wear layers!
